  1. To raise awareness of the different types of crimes against the environment both at a national, EU and international level;
  2. To identify the types of modern threats faced by the environment through the use of case studies;
  3. To discuss the various approaches used by Member States in dealing with investigations in connection with the environmental crime through the utilisation of comparative perspectives;
  4. To gain additional understanding of international co-operation in the field of environmental crime.
